Eli funnies.
- I was driving Eli home from Bible Study Fellowship last Monday and took a different exit than usual on the highway to get cheap gas. As I got back on the freeway we were at roof level with an office building with a big sign on it. Elijah asked me, “What’s that say, Mommy?” I read him the sign and told him it was for a business that makes auto glass. Eli asked, “What they do?” so I more clearly explained that they made glass for the windows and windshields of cars. Elijah replied, “What a good idea!”
- Grandma was watching Elijah last week and Eli told her that Mommy was his friend. Grandma asked if Daddy was his friend, and Elijah said no. So Grandma asked who was Daddy’s friend. Elijah replied, “Daddy not my friend! Daddy Mommy’s friend.” Daddy is certainly Mommy’s friend, that’s right (and could have something to do with how you got here little boy!).
- Elijah told Grandma and Daddy Monday night that Mommy had babies in her tummy. Not one baby – BABIES. That’s right, he says that Mommy is having two babies. When Daddy followed up that line of questioning with, “What are we going to name the babies?” Elijah told him, “Tigger and Pooh!” Guess those two usually do go together, but I’m afraid there’s no chance the baby (or babies) will be christened with those monikers. I don’t think Eli has the baby prognostication all figured out yet though - he says that he has a baby in his tummy too and that it’s coming out “tomorrow.” If boys can incubate babies that quickly maybe they should be the ones having them!
