Here's another collection of Elijah-isms:
- Eli saw Jon doing some pushups on the floor and tried to imitate him. I asked Eli, "Do you know how to do pushups?" and he stopped, looked at me with a puzzled expression and said, "I know how to eat pushups!" He was, of course, referring to the pushup popsicles that Grandma gets him when they go to the zoo. :)
- Overheard while looking for a book to read with Grandma before bed: "I Spy book! Come to Grandma!"
- While goofing around together last week this exchange took place . . . Mommy: "Eli is silly!" Elijah: "No, Mommy is silly!" Mommy: "Eli is silly!" Elijah (exasperated): "I don't want to argue. Mommy is silly!"
- While Matea was crying in the car while we were driving home from the store: "Mommy, Matea is crying because she is sad she doesn't have any teeth." Hmm, interesting theory! And while on the Matea teeth issue, this is a "Tori-ism" from the prayer that Tori said for us before lunch last Friday: "Dear God, please help Matea grow up as she will, enjoy eating her food, and be okay going along without any teeth." The day Matea actually gets teeth will put these little minds at ease apparently!
- And finally, this was requested after seeing a promo on Nickelodeon: "Mommy, tell Daddy to get me that podcast to listen to!" I never thought my THREE YEAR OLD would want a podcast! Life sure is different than when we grew up!
