Eli had his 18 month doctor's visit last Monday, but I'm just now getting around to giving out the stats! :)
Elijah is now 24 pounds, 10 and a half ounces (between the 25th and the 50th percentile, just like usual), and is a whopping 35 and a half inches tall! That's off the growth charts! I kind of figured that he might have had a little growth spurt, since the pants I bought him in mid-October and had been rolling up for him to walk in were, over the course of two weeks, suddenly too short for him.
Everything else checked out fine and he is doing great. Saying lots of "words" but not really ending the words, but the doctor said that is normal and isn't a cause for concern unless he doesn't start saying more over the next 3-4 months. Here are his words so far:
- Mama
- Dada
- Boo (for what a ghost says)
- Moo (what a cow says)
-Woo-woo (for what a dog says, and what he now calls every dog we see)
-Move (when he wants a movie in the car)
-Baa (what a sheep says)
-Bye-bye
-Baaf (for bath, very similar to the baa for sheep)
-More (for more drink, etc.; not very clear yet and sounds like mur)
-Ba-pa (for his Grandpas)
-Ba-ma (for his Grandmas)
-Nana (banana, used less and less often for some reason)
-Ball (for ball, not said very clearly but Mom knows what he means)
- Cuckoo (for Grandma's cuckoo clock obviously) :)
-Boose (for the red caboose in one of his train books)
-Nigh-nigh (for night-night, he just started that this week!)
-Mell (for milk)
It's been speculated that Elijah has also said Santa, and burfa (for breakfast), and a few others that I can't think of right now! I have no idea if his vocabulary is small or big really - I just have it written down now so I can compare the next kid to Elijah (and no, that is not an announcement, Jeff).
Elijah becomes more and more fun and more and more interactive every day, and I'm so glad I get to be home to see everything. He understands so much, and constantly surprises us with what he can do. We love our little bean, even more now that he's a quite a bit bigger bean than he was 18 months ago!
At 18 months old Elijah's a happy (and active!) little fellow. :)

Wow! Eli has really grown! It sounds like he is talking up a storm too with all those words! Keep enjoying every minute with your little (or not so little) bean!
